Not only is it Good Friday, which I normally write about. However, today is National Linemen Day!! Knowing a few and how important they are to neighborhoods, I would like to recognize them. Lineman Appreciation Day is observed on April 18 every year. This day honors the hard work that women and men put in to keep the power on. These people work around the clock to provide light to family households and any other premises. Lineworkers are truly dedicated since they have to climb hundreds of feet above the ground with precarious harnesses. They also handle live wires that, if improperly handled, can easily lead to them losing their lives in massive jolts of electricity while simultaneously blacking out entire sections of the city. They run to the rescue in devastating storms, are on call 24/7, and truly put others before themselves. Too often they are overlooked while Firefighters, EMS, Police, and Military members get all the attention. Yet, they are right there serving us in crisis. National Lineman Appreciation Day honors those men and women who put their lives at risk to keep the power running through our communities. Thank you for all you do. Just as I am thankful for the twins giving us 5 Fun Finds each week as a Dad.....
The twins celebrated National Siblings Day this week just like I knew they would: wrestling and arguing about who won!!
My twins love looking at photos from the past. Unlike me. Because they constantly ask why I am wearing the same shirt from 6 years ago. Like there is no connection?? Before you I never wore the same outfit twice!! Now I just wear holy underwear!!
A twin asked if I could pack the same snack in his lunch again and I said, "Oh, wow! So, you liked it???" He replied, "No, I hated it, that's why I want it again." It was quiet in the car for a second, then he added, "I'm working on my sarcasm."
Any time someone makes fun of my dad fashion I literally can’t hear them because of how comfortable I am knowing I can chase twins around!!
Went to the zoo yesterday and got to hear twins argue “I saw the animal first!” at each stop, in case you were thinking of doing that soon with siblings!!
