5 Friday Finds!!!!! Pinned & Spared!!

Over the past week life almost dealt a crushing blow. Uncle Allen who is someone not only my wife loves and the twins, but is someone I love and count in my small circle of male trust. We love doing outdoor activities with one another, stay up late talking about life, fatherhood, being a husband, and listening to music until our wives sternly tell us to get to bed. In addition, he takes the time to get to know the twins and do things with them as well and volunteers non-stop to help others. In his spare time as a volunteer firefighter he was pinned between two fire trucks. Fortunately, praise the Lord he is still alive, able to walk, and is on his way to recovery. He may have some new pins and rods in a leg, had a nasty blow to his lung, and looked as if he went toe to toe with Mike Tyson for 12 rounds, but we are so lucky and thankful he is ok. We are continually praying for him as well as a few men's groups at church. He is living proof that God still has miracles in store for us. Never be afraid to take any worry, struggle, fear, pain, confusion, joy, thanks, anything to the Lord in supplication. Thank you for sparing Uncle Allen and thank you for unearthing these 5 Friday Finds this week.....

1. Nobody declines a call faster than Twins looking at photos on your phone!!

2. The downside to having smart, informed twins is that sometimes you have to say things like, "No. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FILIBUSTER BEDTIME."

3. A haiku on Fatherhood:

   “Please eat your dinner” “Please do not take off your clothes” “No candy right now”

4. Why do Twins fight sleep like it’s a personal attack? You are tired, I am tired, your brother is tired, mom is tired. Just close your eyes!!

5. Before Twins: I never have time for ANYTHING!

   After Twins: made coffee, planned meals for the week, ordered groceries, played a board game, made breakfast for everyone, RSVP for a birthday, walked the dog, answered 50 school emails, got myself and two kids dressed and arrived at work before 8am!!
