Week 3 Chuck Norris Needed!!!

Writer's picture: Mark WarrenMark Warren

Friday: The end of social distancing week 3, commonly referred to as hostages at home, captives in community, inmates inside, detainees in dear need of fellowship! In the meantime, here are 5 things I’ve learned this week!!!!!

1. The twins now know a fart is not poop and just hysterically laugh when they do now. Also, they fart way too much!!

2. Now that it was back to work Monday, my wife and I are getting creative with supervision. However, it has become clear mom is the total push over. The twins switch into crazy mode once dad walks out of the room. The panic, sound, and plead of help from the mothership is, well comical.

3. At one point in the week one of the boys pointed his finger at me and said, “no no Daddy.” In that flash of a second, I did not know if my son was going to get a hug or lose his finger. He was cute, learning, and telling me what to do at the same time. Safe to say the finger is only broke followed by a hug. They learn fast. Now can you figure whom the culprit was?

4. The twins absolutely love the water and bath time. Therefore, do not, at all, by any means mess up the scared ground that is the tub. This week we decided to do sensory activities in the bathtub. Let’s just say that whip cream and dissolving dinosaur eggs went as well as America preparing for the pandemic.

5. As often as I enjoy being humorous and sharing the journey of fatherhood, in all seriousness try to be thankful no matter the circumstance. If you have health be grateful, if you have finances be supportive, if you have time be helpful, if you see a need be loving! Be thankful that even though the times are drastically different we can still be purposeful.
