5 Friday Finds!!!!! VFW Day!!

National V.F.W. Day is held every year on September 29. ‘V.F.W.’ stands for ‘Veterans of Foreign Wars,’ an organization established to support past and present American service members who have served in foreign wars, expeditions, or campaigns. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, the organization’s mission, according to its website, is to “foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.” It is a place where former or current members of the armed forces who served in a war, campaign, or expedition on foreign soil, airspace, or hostile waters can gather and be around like-minded individuals. As a member I am grateful when our local chapter has events and community outreaches. To those serving and who have served: thank you. In addition, thank you both for the 5 Finds this week as a Twin-Dad.....

1. Parenting is peculiar because you find yourself saying things like: that was a cute story but you know if you ever meet a real shark with a toothache you shouldn’t try to help it, right??

2. Not to brag but I finally got all the sand out of the jeep from the last beach trip of the summer yesterday!!

3. I’m producing a dad song called: Everyone ignores me until they want something!!

4. You might be a twin-dad if you’ve ever opened multiple fruit snack packets at 6AM while sitting on the toilet!!

5. Last night I threatened the twins that their electronics would go away for a month if they don’t listen and I’m praying hard that I don't have to follow through on that after today. The dumb@$$ things you say as a parent in the heat of the moment!!
