The actual Navy Fighter Weapons School was formed in 1969, during the time of the Viet Nam War, by the Chief of Naval Operations Admiral, Thomas Hinman Moorer, at the recommendation of Captain Frank Ault. The realization came that the Navy’s fighter pilots needed more training. During Operation Rolling Thunder, the United States lost nearly 1,000 aircraft over North Vietnamese skies. The USAF and Navy both sought the causes but came to two different conclusions. The Air Force believed that the fault was mechanical: that MiG pilots caught American pilots in a rear blind spot. The Navy decided that the failure was in training. The Air Force responded by developing new technology, while the Navy started the Top Gun school, eventually paving the way for 110 minutes of heart pounding action, backed by a roaring theme song. Sound familiar?? Somewhat like raising very active twin boys!! We wouldn’t have it any other way and the pair provided the following 5 comical finds this week…..
1. I don’t ride a peloton but often I get twins dressed, feed, and out the door to school on time, so same!!
2. If playing fetch with the twins is wrong, I don't want to be right!!
3. Watching a crime scene investigator search for trace evidence is theatrical but have you ever seen a toddler examine a piece of fruit for spots?!
4. We all need the confidence of a toddler when they get access to a phone camera on selfie mode making the "Ka-Chow" Lighting McQueen makes in cars!!
5. Somethings are just certain like death, taxes, and twins waking up at 4am, being hungry 24/7, and my brother won’t stop touching me. You get the drift!!
