Both of you without delay have your own unique personalities, traits, and skills at the age of 5 already. You push the envelope, brazenly speak-up, exude mighty will power, and find the flurry of hustle joyous. Mavericks are visionaries who want to achieve what’s never been achieved before. They’re not fans of the status quo and will shake things up. Mavericks tend to be innovative, influential, daring, and direct—with a remarkably high tolerance for taking chances. Natural leaders! They’re known to be task-oriented and persistent. They thrive when given a goal and the freedom to determine how to achieve that goal. My twins this describes the two of you and I hope we can continue to help you develop the might of a Maverick. Go ahead buck stereotypes in the face of great odds. Disrupt markets and industries. Introduce new products and make us rethink the norms. Be innovators and creators. You bring so much value to our family, school, church, and community. A maverick looks for new and better ways to get the job done. Mavericks don’t settle for the usual. They are ambitious, have a strong desire to excel, and are results focused. Thank you for being so unique. Thank you for the 5-Finds you teach us as polite, genuine, and caring Mavericks each week…..
1. One twin just announced that he wants to name his first kid King Kong, and looking at his class roster, it could honestly be much worse!!
2. I patiently sat through a 75-hour story about one of the twin’s dream this morning and then said, "wow mommy would love to hear this!!"
3. When you have twin boys, you’ll see them fighting with each other a lot but you’ll also occasionally see them show genuine signs of love and friendship. Those moments are so beautiful and they happen just before they start fighting with each other again!!
4. A question posed this week by the twins, “what if we put a chicken nugget in the smart TV and it played a movie about the chicken’s whole life??” and none of the parenting books or advice received prepared me for kids not knowing about DVD players or this question..
5. "You can't make us do it because we'll go running in opposite directions and you won't be able to catch us because you're old and can't run fast!" - 5-yr-old twins are a different kind of breed!!
