July 15th is: National Give Something Away Day! How cool is that? Giving fills the heart with joy. To be honest you boys have way too many toys and I constantly walk around compiling bags to drop off at the local Goodwill store. This brings me back to my childhood where I can count on both hands the total amount of toys I owned. However, I loved each one and it taught me the lesson of valuing them. More than material items I will echo that giving your time to others is the most cherished giving. Everyone thinks that money or material possessions is the most valuable commodities. That is a farce because the most valuable thing we own and can give is time to others. I am thankful for the time we are given and whether that is minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years let us live it wisely, in a full manner, and with appreciation. Today I am going to give my time to a good friend dad graduated with from our Sports Management program, Rusty Miller! In the meantime, enjoy the 5 Friday Finds that we learned as Twin-Parents this week from some funny toddlers.....
1. After an uphill hike this week the twins declared Dad a "Piggyback Uber"
2. Twins often make far-fetched claims that can be easily laughed off but occasionally I find myself doing things like checking to see whether “confuzzled” is a word!! It should be, nicely done twins nicely done!
3. No one in the world is more delusional than a parent who says they’re going to bed early tonight and has twins!!
4. 90% of being a Twin-Dad to young toddlers is wondering if there's a leak in the house or did the kids just wash their hands??
5. Last night... Mom: Drops a container of blueberries all over the floor!!
Twins: See! This is exactly why we wanted chips!
