5 Friday Finds!!!!! Extreme Sport!!

Fatherhood is an extreme sport. That is why you must hit the ground running every morning. Be one step ahead of everyone in the house. Too often I hear mothers talk about how hard it is and how there is so much pressure to be a good mom while dads just don’t understand. Oh Really!! I scoff at that notion vehemently. The same holds true as a father without any doubt. In fact, being the provider of the entire household certainly comes with it the most pressure possibly. Drizzle in the idea that society blames the father for anytime a kid fails to be perfect and you have some titan weights that rest upon the shoulders of men. Thus, how about a novel idea? Hey mom over there and dad over here communicate the pressures that come with being a parent with one another! Explain the differences between the roles as well as the similarities. Tackle the entire endeavor, together, as a team and root for one another. Show children how to love mom and dad equally and stop thinking that one role is superior to the other. A family unit is a team unit. Extreme sports can be lethal, but with the right time in place, competitors accomplish the unthinkable!

Meanwhile on the parenting journey laugh together when you don’t have all the answers and smile now while reading the comical 5 Friday Finds we tripped over as a parent team this week…..

1. Parenthood is mostly wanting to sleep. But before you can, you must make sure other people who never want to sleep fall asleep!!

2. Upon waking mom today the TWINS immediately said that her hair looks like she has "thousands of spiderwebs" coming out of her head!! How's your morning??!!

3. I don't care how cool you think you are, the twins found out yesterday that I can burp on command so good luck trying to compete with that!

4. Just a friendly reminder that you're the parent and you're in charge!! Give your toddler any color cup you desire!! Ha ha JK, don’t do that you'll die

5. Show me a parent who gives a toddler 2 choices for dinner & I'll show you twins who pick something that is not an option!!
