According to Sesame Street Magazine, October 15th is National Grouch Day - a day for all Grouches to celebrate their way of life and National Boss day! In addition, Boss’s Day happens to be observed on the same day this year! Don’t be a grouchy boss! Being a leader I always preach creating culture first in the workplace. So many of us spend hours at work, away from our family, which is why it is necessary to create a welcoming and inviting space that people look forward to showing up to give it their all. Fluff words like family, close-knit, collaborative, connected, respectful, inclusive and so forth mean nothing if they are not put in action. Culture is actionable and is directly tied to the leader (boss). How do you treat others each day? All the bosses out there quit using fluff words to describe workplace culture and put it in motion. Here you will find 5 actionable fun findings as a TwinDad from this week…..
1. Told my wife her fall decorations were gourd-eous and my DadBod & dad-jokes immediately leveled up to a 100 rating!!
2. . The only thing sadder than having to microwave your sad, cold, kids-got-in-the-way coffee is finding yesterday's mug lonely and abandoned still in said microwave!!
3. Working remote with twins at home is just like working at the office but with even more bosses and opinions!!
4. Congrats on your kid turning 3!! You are now the proud parent of a middle finger with feet.
