My twins, my arms were made to hold you both, and my face was made to smile each time I see you both. My back is strong enough to carry you both, while my heart is full of love equally for you each. When your mother and I must discipline you just remember we do it because we love you unconditionally. Life is not always going to be fair, and you will not always get your way. Currently, you have reached that age where you believe everything should go your way and everything belongs to you. I pray the Lord gives me the patience, understanding, and skill to raise you to be hard-workers, polite, grateful, confident, giving, and most of all more like Christ and less like me. We love you and are thankful to be your parents who were blessed with the following 5 entertaining finds this week as your parents…..
1. Trying to guess in the fewest attempts what an angry twin toddler is saying before they really start losing their cool is called Wordle Extreme!!
2. Legend has it that when mom is overwhelmed and on the verge of a nervous breakdown, twins will appear to tell her forcefully that she cut their sandwich wrong!!
3. I confronted one twin about hitting his brother and he told me he was “just giving him a face high five.” I tried not to laugh. Honestly, I did. I promise.
4. The biggest parenting challenge you ever face is raising the “you” out of your kids. I take full blame for giving them the best traits. Said no Dad ever!!
5. Before kids: Cocktails, date nights & impromptu getaways.
After kids: Coffee, laundry & disciplining a tiny you!!
