After wandering in the championship desert for more than four decades, the Dawgs are the undisputed heavyweight champion after Monday night. Your mom and I are thrilled to be back as LA was not impressive. Nonetheless, the Dawgs play was very impressive. Championships are hard to win, but even harder to climb the mountain in consecutive years. The players often do not get enough credit as coaches often get the most spot light. Yet, the players are the people on the field making the actual plays. Consequently, support staff, trainers, and mental health and performance specialist rarely get recognized. It takes ample moving parts, the correct culture, and an entire fan base to repeat. I could not be more proud of your mom's work with mental health and the athletes. I could not be more proud to be an alumni. Congrats Dawg Nation! SoFi Stadium is a spectacle to see, but is serves no real functionality for a stadium that cost $4.9 billion to build. Shout out to the TCU alumni and fans we had a chance to mingle with. Each of you were respectful, fun, and showed again that sports continue to bring all walks of life together. Thank you to the nannies for watching our twins and twins thank you for bringing another 5 Friday finds to life this week.....
1. Until I became a dad, I had not seen another human cry because they were not the first one to fart in the new year!!
2. The twins think the LMFAO song is “I’m 16 and I know it,” so now they’re singing it but swapping in their own ages!!
3. The twins do not understand when I ask them to shut the bathroom door, I want them on the outside of it!!
4. The road to twin parental sanity is paved with all the things you swore you'd never do if you ever have one kid of your own.
5. I took the kids out for the day when we returned so Charlotte could relax and apparently her interpretation of relaxing is relaxing and not doing the 15 loads of laundry!! Now all 3 of her boys have to go Commando!!!
