Thank you for making another trip around the sun memorable. Relationships are the sweet nectar that quench the thirst of belonging. The Lord has blessed me with some amazing relationships in my lifetime and I am deeply grateful. Ironically it would not have been my birthday without the fourth year in a row spent traveling. However, all my family and friends still made it special. Upon arriving at home I was showered with the best embraces and food a man could imagine! I am much-obliged to the people that make life the marvel that the Lord intended it to be. My hope is when my time is called that all of you will smile, laugh, and not be filled with grief as I tried my best to give back more often than I took, made relationships purposeful, and lived with an energetic passion of loving sports, good food, and all of you. Not to mention tried my best to cultivate an inclusive culture through humor. Alas this week’s 5 Friday Finds…..
1. Grandparents and Aunts be like imma stay for a few days and reset your children back to factory settings!!
2. Shout-out to twins. No Seriously, it's the only way to get them to listen!!
3. To the person who coined the phrase “kids keep you young” - I’d like to see the science behind this nonsense please. Bull$%^& I feel like a walking zombie most days.
4. Welcome to twin parenthood, where at home you’ll get to speak a complete sentence once in four days. That's how long it took for me to tell my wife how the Vermont trip went!!
5. As we rode by Sanford Stadium the twins asked if there was a ball game? My reply was not this week. And they asked why they don’t have games every week?? Which melted my heart because I want games every Saturday as well!! Bye week is boring but is always welcomed for rest!! Go Dawgs!!
