The International Day of Friendship is a United Nations (UN) day that promotes the role that friendship plays in promoting peace in many cultures. It is observed on July 30 each year. The UN has a special day to promote the concept of friendships across diverse backgrounds and cultures. The UN aimed to involve young people, as future leaders, in community activities that include different cultures and promote international understanding and respect for diversity. Boys drink deeply of strong friendships and seek out diversity, learn a plethora of cultures, speak multiple languages, eat your way across the globe, and feel free to date or marry outside of your color. There is beauty in differences and loving others who do not look exactly like yourself. My friends enjoy a few comical parenting moments from this week.....
1. Kids don't have a volume knob; they have a volume roulette wheel.
2. One of the twins yelled "HELP!" at 2 a.m. like he was being attacked because his blanket was tangled, so don't talk to me about your problems, Karen!!
3. Does anyone know when the Olympic kickboxing tryouts are? I think the twins stand a chance. Also, must they be awake to compete?
4. If you are a CEO of any company here are words of advice: Twin boys can do more in one unsupervised minute than most adults can do all day. Just saying!!
5. This week I played a dangerous game: how many pages of a kids book can I skip at bedtime without the twins realizing it??!! Safe to say that will be a one and done rule like the NBA!
