Matthew 7:12 - "So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you…” One would think this primary principle aims to treat people with dignity and respect? Personally this is not something that is hard to follow as it is not hard to use love, joy, and kindness in human interactions. The funniest part is even in disagreements and quarrels respect, dignity, and valuing the person as a human being, daughter, wife, sister, brother, father and so on is still attainable. I was interviewing someone this week and thoroughly enjoyed them use the principal of the Golden-Rule when providing a customer service answer. Some of our own extended family members could take the time out and apply it in their everyday interactions. Sadly, it seems America’s cultural divide has reached such a bitter impasse that the Golden Rule no longer applies. It has been short-circuited by jumping to the conclusion that “others” are not like us enough to apply the Golden Rule. We need more shows like Ted Lasso that display fantastic traits in how to treat others in society and certainly in an organization from the bottom to the top. I pray you understand the wisdom that the Golden-Rule and walking by the fruit of the Spirits in Galatians 5:22 is never an outdate practice. On a lighter note here are 5 twinhood realizations from this week…..
1. We’ve taught the twins to say 'please,' a word both just actually think means 'I command you to do this now!!'
2. Nothing makes me think of disasters faster than the twins telling me not to worry!!
3. The twin’s euphoric attachment to any destination is based entirely on what snacks are available to them while they’re there . Fair warning!!
4. What doesn't kill you wakes you up at 5 AM promptly asking for breakfast and Peppa Pig!!
5. Have twins so the only thing hot and heavy in your house anymore is the laundry setting!! Twice the loads!!
