Alpha and Beta are two different parts of an equation used to explain the performance of stocks and investment funds. Beta is a measure of volatility relative to a benchmark, such as the S&P 500. Alpha is the excess return on an investment after adjusting for market-related volatility and random fluctuations. If this doesn't explain the life of raising twin 3 year boys at the moment I do not know what does. It is full of volatile emotions that makes it fun, tiring, and random. Each day is a fluctuation in performance, attitude, and sleep all the while testing the sanity of the parents responsible for the equation. Yet, each week brings us 5 funny findings.....
1. No one exaggerates a situation quite like twins who just broke their cookies.
2. Was not prepared for how much of being a twin dad to boys would just be repeating “please don’t touch, now is not the time to touch it, put it away, please put it back, stop playing with it.”
3. In order to get the twins in bed by 7:30 every night, we start their bedtime routine right after lunch!!
4. Hands down my favorite hobby has turned into asking my sons to lower their voices, seeing them nod in agreement, then hearing them continue to speak at the same volume!!
5. I pointed out a fire truck to my coworker on a drive this week, and if that is not a sure sign you have toddlers at home then what is??
