5 Friday Findings!!!!! 20 years....................

Tomorrow will mark 20 years since the 9/11 attacks. I remembered exactly where I was that morning. The images have been seared in my memory. Being cognitive about the tragic events that day is paramount to undertsanding history and grief. "Grief is like a finger-print, it looks different on all of us "- Justin Tinsley (author of the 30 for 30 Podcast "King of Crenshaw") Therefore, remember while watching football tomorrow or going on a family walk or eating at youir favorite restuarant that:

  • Total number killed in attacks in New York: 2,753

  • Number of firefighters and paramedics killed: 343

  • Number of NYPD officers: 23

  • Number of Port Authority police officers: 37

  • Number of U.S. troops killed in Operation Enduring Freedom: 2,343

  • Number of nations whose citizens were killed in attacks: 115

  • Number of families who got no remains: 1,717

  • Number of people who lost a spouse or partner in the attacks: 1,609

  • Estimated number of children who lost a parent: 3,051

  • Percentage of Americans who knew someone hurt or killed in the attacks: 20%

With those sobering numbers let us not forget why we should not be divided, but come together like we did in 20 years ago. In the meantime here are 5 humorous findings from twinhood this week:

1. Before I had twins, I didn't know it was possible to ruin two people’s day by saying, "Put your clothes on."

2. Hear me out. A new toddler clothing line called “I Don’t Need Help or My Way” where all of the clothing is made inside out, backwards, or comes with 2 right shoes!!

3. The twins indeed have super powers. Using 24 cups for every hour of the day silly!! I didn't even know we owned 24 cups!

4. You might have toddlers running around if you hear your truck horn going off sporadically at any time. Keys found!!

5. Twin A: I’ll Fix it after you say “sorry 10 times”

Twin B: “Sorry 10 times”
